Acupuncture/Dry Needling

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is used as part of our physiotherapy treatment to provide pain relief, reduce inflammation, and provide general relaxation. This technique involves the insertion of fine needles through the skin and tissues at specific points in the body.

Dry needling

Functional Dry Needling (FDN) is a treatment used to release muscular trigger points, tightness, and spasm which can be causing pain and movement dysfunctions.  Small, thin needles are inserted into muscle trigger points and provide quick and effective release of those tight muscles. The technique also results in increased blood flow to the area which promotes healing.
